Find the GCF of the terms of the polynomial 16x^3+28x^5y I just need to know which one. I think it is A but if i'm wrong tell me. A.) 4x^3 B.)4x^5y

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

16/4 is 4 28/4 is 7 <-- 7 is prime, so no other factors so, 4 is as much as you can squeeze out of the coefficients and \(x^3\) is also as much as you can squeeze from the variables so, yes \(\bf 4x^3\)

Okay thank you!
