The perimeter of the rectangle below is 19.8 feet. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/UYqzwwEEMWtm9AvXJcU6e0R1P3kY7WGDDRvys4Sw9JzbJeRRZUPWw-qQIePwmsLcXrliaQ 1. Write an equation that shows how to find the perimeter using the given lengths. 2. Identify the length of the rectangle. 3. Identify the width of the rectangle. I know this is asking a lot, but I'll become a fan, and give a medal to whoever answers.

so perimeter is 2L + 2w, you have the perimeter and the length and width (the variables are still those values) so try making an equation.

I'm very poor when it comes to stuff like this, but is 1. (2x + 3) * x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope, so its going to be p = 2l + 2w or, 19.8 = 2(x) + 2(2x +3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you understand so far?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Barely

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha, thats probably okay:) do you know how to solve for x using the equation I gave you?
