rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

WELCOME TO OSSSSSS \[A=\pi*r^2\]

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

sorry wrong formula \[circumference=2*\pi*r\]

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

so plug in your numbers for me

Don't get it

OpenStudy (mathmale):

"circumference" is a distance; it's the distance around the outside of a circle. The formula for circumference is C=2 pi r, where pi =3.14 and r is the radius of the circle. Here we are GIVEN the circumference. but no the radius, r. So we need to solve the formula C = 2 pi r for r. If C= 2 pi r, divide both sides by 2 pi. You'll have "r" on the right side.
