What is the area of this square in square meters? A. 2.25 square meters B. 225 square meters C. 22,500 square meters D. 225,000 square meters Just checking my work. Isn't it A?
What are the measurements of the square?
???
To find the area of a square, you need to multiply the length and the width. Length and width of a square should be the same number, which it is because all sides of a square are equal. Length and width are both 150. So, you need to do 150 x 150 :)
Yes, but I am converting centimeters to meters.
Yep you are right the answer is A 2.25m^2
Oh yes, sorry I didn't see that. Wait, it's 225, because you take the area in centimeters (22,500 cm) and divide by 100 for meters
@kobeni-chan, can you give @ijlal a medal and I give you one?
That is what I used to think, but before you find the area you have to devide the dimensions instead.
Oh you do? I'm confused now, lol. I'll medal @ijlal :)
1m contains 100cm so the sides are 150 cm each which makes them 1.5m each if you divide them by 100 so just simply multiply by the formula A=length x breadth you will get your answer hope you understood :)
ty @kobeni-chan :)
No problem!
Thankyou @kobeni-chan and @ijlal !
