Guys can someone help me this question might be a little tricky just came across my assignment what are error functions and complementary error function and their transforms? Is there a derivation of these formulas?

OpenStudy (ijlal):

the topic i was studying was laplace transform techniques and came across this

OpenStudy (ijlal):

@pooja195 @Kainui @ganeshie8 @zepdrix

OpenStudy (reemii):

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Error_function The definition of error function (err) and complementary error function (erfc) are at the top of the page.

OpenStudy (ijlal):

@reemii do you know the derivation of this these formulas? i also need to know the derivation

OpenStudy (ijlal):

the source of wikipedia that you shared just mentions the formula not the derivation :/

OpenStudy (reemii):

At this point, it seems that they are not derived, these are definitions.

OpenStudy (ijlal):

Oh well thank you then :)

OpenStudy (reemii):

the L-transform of the error function (thanks wikipedia) is in that table https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laplace_transform#Table_of_selected_Laplace_transforms .

OpenStudy (reemii):

last line of the table

OpenStudy (reemii):

Is this what you want to compute?

OpenStudy (ijlal):

ya well thank you :)

OpenStudy (reemii):

At least you know where you're going… good luck :-)
