plzzz help!
How many degrees are there in a triangle?... And how many degrees are already given?
since it is a right triangle, you automatically have the 90 degrees. Then your given angle which is 20. 90+20=110 then you take that number and subtract it by 180 because that's how many degrees are in a triangle. 180-110=70. Angle A = 70 degrees
In the case, the best trig function to use would be Tangent (tan) which is opposite over adjacent. so if you were to do tan20 = (30/x) then you would want to solve for x. So multiply x by both sides: xtan20 = 30 then divide both sides by "tan20" x= 30/(tan20) = 82.42
then to find AB, just use Pythagorean Theorem (a^2 + b^2 = c^2) 30^2 + 82.42^2 = 7693.06 then take the square root of that and you will get 87.71.
