OpenStudy (rleblanc19):

Algebra 1~Writing Linear Functions I've already taken Algebra 1 in public school, but I'm taking it again on VLACS as a review. It says to write an equation in slope-intercept form, and the example is f(x)=75,000x-300,000. However, in public school, I learned slope-intercept form as y=mx+b. I'm just wondering if these are the same thing.

OpenStudy (precal):

Yes They are the same. F(x) is function notation. Sorry that should be a lowercase f.
