Do you know what direct and indirect objects are? The first step would be to translate the sentences into English. Then you would be able to identify the indirect or direct objects. Here's a tip: An "a" followed by a person (like Juan) usually means that it is an indirect object. Los maestros hablan a Juan = The teachers talk to Juan In this case, "Juan" is the indirect object.
1. my friend sold his car 2. my parents see the news 3.i bring my (whatever un cuaderno is???) to the class 4. we saw the movie on saturday 5. bought the roses 6. pablo looks for the vacations 7. we used the phone 8. they wish to go shopping 9. we wait for the summer 10. the telephone guide is not frequently used
@ThisIsANameWithManyLetters el cuaderno is a notebook, but she did not ask to translate the sentences. But to do like this: 1. Mi amigo vende su (coche) nuevo. Mi amigo lo vende.
@arbokas
can you help me
How are you confused? Do you need help translating or figuring out the direct and indirect objects?
figuring out the direct objects
Direct objects receive the action in the sentence. For example, in the sentence "I bought the card", "card" is the direct object. Indirect objects refer to someone or something that is affected by the verb For example, in the sentence "I bought the card for her", "her" is the direct object Here's a page you can look at: http://www.chompchomp.com/terms/indirectobject.htm
@heart_offire yes I can help you but first you have to try by yourself. Here is a guidance: 1) direct object pronoun (DOP) are: lo - it/him (masculine singular), la - it/her (feminine singular) los - them (masculine plural), las - them (feminine singular) 2) indirect object pronoun (IDOP) are: le - it/him (masculine or feminine singular) les - them (masculine or feminine plural) 3) direct and indirect object goes before the transitive or intransitive verbs. 4) When you change DO to DOP or IDO to IDOP you have to eliminate all stuff which are attribute of that object. 4) DO usually goes after the subject. In your sentence almost all are with define article - the (Spanish: el, la, los, las). So you know which DO are and you can replace it with DOP regarding to the rule (3)&(4). Except - Ellos desean ir de compras. ir de compras is a phrase which means to go shopping and it is also a direct object - it. Do like this: 1. Mi amigo vende [su (coche) nuevo]. Mi amigo (lo) vende. 2. Mis padres miran (las noticias). Mis padres (las) miran. 5) Indirect object is a boy Juan which receives the action, so you must relapse him with indirect object pronoun regarding to the rule (3)&(4). 1. Hablo a (Juan). (Le) hablo.
