Compare the life cycle of a eubacterium with the reproductive cycle of a virus

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So bacteria reproduce by Fission, and viruses reproduce through the lytic cycle. So bacteria divide conceptually like mitosis. Viruses invade a host cell, they must live in a host cell. Viruses inject DNA/RNA into the host DNA then the cell is used to create the parts for the next viruses. Once all materials are made the virus burst (Lyses, hence lytic cycle) the cell and new viruses exit to infect new host.
