Can someone look over my essay and tell me if it's standard undergrad level and how to fix it? The google documents link is below and open to anyone who wants to view it. Thanks.

No. He is correct with the title. ; separates two separate or somewhat unrelated (yet still linked) independent clauses and is formal. A colon wouldn't be best here.... @AlexaTiger

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

Do Kennedy's Don't forget the apostrophe... It shows possession :)

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

I will revise it and send you the rest :)

@AlexaTiger Hello! I was just going by my MLA handbook when I used ";", my book says colons are for lists and numbers. @MissSmartiez Thank yooou, I struggle with grammar clauses and agreements in my essays, I am in the process of learning grammar with my handbook. I need to know what I do wrong so I can learn not to do it anymore lol. I think if I learn three new things each time I do an essay I will improve.

https://wmich.edu/writing/punctuation/colon "Clarify the titles of books, lectures and other compositions" Subtitles don't count?

OpenStudy (alexatiger):

@studybop

I'm googling that right now, I can't find much on the subject! My title isn't a book title or lecture. I don't know if that means much.

OpenStudy (alexatiger):

I always used it because...specification I guess. The First Man: Adam See? Like....I don't know. I just didn't want to seem dumb so...yep. That's what I'm thinking.

I really don't know. I started learning things like l like sandwiches a lot; however, if you are bored of them then do not eat them. Or I have a lot of things on my list: shoes, shirts, blankets, toothpaste etc.

OpenStudy (alexatiger):

Yeah, I get that. But I was just saying something about your title; to me it didn't look right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I will change the title to get rid of that then.

OpenStudy (alexatiger):

I'm sorry for the inconvenience!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha, it's okay, I'll need a title that is less literal anyway.

OpenStudy (anthonyym):

Maybe you should put this on a google doc and share it. Google docs gives lets people highlight specific parts and give suggestions on the document

Good idea. I didn't think of that!
