OpenStudy (ffasinger):

The lines shown below are parallel. If the green line has a slope of -, what is the slope of-1/11 the red line?

OpenStudy (ffasinger):

@jigglypuff314

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

parallel lines have equivalent slopes

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

the slope of both lines would be the same

OpenStudy (ffasinger):

I am not sure how you even solve it

OpenStudy (ffasinger):

@cryleeb

OpenStudy (yumyum247):

since the lines are parallel, the slopes would be parallel as well...

OpenStudy (ffasinger):

how do i solve the equation??

OpenStudy (yumyum247):

since its a linear function, you can use y=mx+b to check your answer...the slope is already given so... jus pick the points and yeah...everything is there...

OpenStudy (ffasinger):

ummm ok ig
