What is minimum absolute difference ?

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

the question is that much only

OpenStudy (reemii):

I looked up "min abs diff".. is it about differences in a vector? It says: the MAD between two vectors A=(a1,...,aN) and B=(b1,..,bM) is the distance \[ \mathrm{MAD} = \min_{(a,b)\in A\times B} |a-b| \]

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

if k=7,8,10 and I=4,7,10,13 what is minimum absolute difference

OpenStudy (reemii):

I would say "0" because 7 is in K, and 7 is in L -> |7-7|=0.

OpenStudy (reemii):

it is always positive, so it can never be smaller than 0.
