A box is x inches high, (2x + 3) inches wide, and (2x + 5) inches long. In terms of x, what is the volume (V) of the box? A) V = 4x3 + 15x B) V = 4x3 + 4x2 + 5x C) V = 4x3 + 4x2 + 15x D) V = 4x3 + 16x2 + 15x
What do you think the answer is?
IDK, Which is why i posted the question DX
Volume is l*w*h, so the volume is the product of the 3 lengths here. The "X" side can simply be multiplied by one of the other sides by distributing (multiply each of the two parts by x). That leaves two binomials to multiply, which one can do with FOIL (Mutliply the First of each, the Inner two, the Outer two, and the Last of each, then add them.
Volume is l x b x h, so we have\[x \times (2x+3) \times (2x+5)\]
expandind that, we arrive at\[x[2x(2x+5)+3(2x+5)] \]
aND? ;-;
cri
4x³+16x²+15x
@honorify which answer choice is that
nvm
do you get it know?
*now
Cheers.
Next question: If f(x) = 2x3 - 4x2 + 2, and g(x) = x3 - 2x2 - 2x + 4, then f(x) - g(x) = A) x3 - 2x2 + 2x - 2 B) x3 - 6x2 - 2x - 2 C) x3 - 2x2 - 6x - 2 D) 3x3 + 6x2 - 6x - 6
