The distance between R and T on the coordinate grid is ___ units. (Input whole numbers only.) Image of a coordinate grid with point R R located at negative 30, 10 and point T located at 15, 10.

OpenStudy (welshfella):

you need to use the distance formula D = sqrt [ (y2-y1)^2 + (x2 -x1)^2] where the 2 points are (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) here you can take y1 = 10 and y2 = 10, x1 = 30 and x2 = 15.

and what does that mean? i'm at a loss here.

OpenStudy (xhawaiiangirlx):

here when it comes to graphing i always went to this site https://www.desmos.com/calculator

Points ( 30, 10 ) and ( 15, 10 ) are the end points of a line parallel to the x axis and 30-15 or 15 units in length.
