I recorded this song a while ago and just finished it today. I played bass, guitar and sang but the drums were programmed. Check it out! https://youtu.be/RBcD49ysV3E Appreciate feedback :)

OpenStudy (aulyanchuk):

not bad, just try to make your vocals a little bit louder cause its kind of hard to hear over the instruments, but otherwise it was good

OpenStudy (tanner23456):

The structure is actually quite well done. I'm sure this was quite a lot of work and I think you definitely have something here, but I do have some suggestions. 1. the vocal timing was off quite a bit. If it were me, I might try recording the vocals a few more times and just get the timing squared away. 2. The idea and structure of the song is good. I would suggest looking into chord progression flow. In this song there doesn't seem to be much of a flow through the chords. It sounds good, but it ends up just being repetitive riffs rather than a real chord progression if you don't put some real thought into it. 3. The tone of all the sounds I thought was very good. I would be careful with the reverb when editing. I tend to put too much on because it covers up a lot of mistakes but putting too much on can make it sound too busy and messy. Just some suggestions. Really great job. Keep on keepin on.

Thank you all! You guys are the best! I will take all that information in consideration for future projects.

Actually, I was being quite the stupid person when I used a thick pick on guitar strings. I had a like a bright 80s new wave type strumming pattern with guitar but the strings broke. So I just finished the song with a more dark Gothic tone. A lot of 80s gothic music doesn't really have a lot of bright sounds IMO. But then I started recording and it just came out as a bright new wave type sound. But yeah! Thanks once again for all the feedback! :)

It's great! :)
