OpenStudy (gandalf123):

The digestive, circulatory, respiratory, immune, and excretory systems all work together to maintain homeostasis. Discuss how a minor malfunction in one of these systems could lead to major malfunctions in others. If methods were developed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of one system, what effect might that improvement have on the other systems?

1. Be sure to thoroughly check with a search engine before consulting openstudy. (Found this in 3 other places) 2. As I'm sure this is an essay question for a test you're taking be sure to at least rearrange words and change words with other word a different that has the same meaning. (Such as switching the word "but" with however or also) So that if your teacher does check it will not be the same thing I'm about to say. Compare the whole thing to the transportation system involved in you going shopping. Transportation brings the food to your supermarket ( digestive beginning) where it is put in the proper place in the super market so that you can find it (circulatory). Proper lighting and temperature is held - certain sanitary systems must be in place so that your food doesn't go bad sitting on the shelves ( immune). After you take the food home ( transportation) you prepare it in a safe way ( immune) and eat it ( further digestive). Don't forget to throw the garbage out ( excretory) when you are finished.
