1 math question??! will fan and medal!

OpenStudy (quinnlover):

lol sorry i dont know

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

In order to find these answers, we must find each function. Let's do the first two together. For the first, when x is 1, y is 1. When x is 2, y is 2. And so on They keep going up by one, so that function is |x| For the second, when y is 1, x is 3. When x is 6, y is 2. Both the y and x go up by a scale factor of 2, making it |2x| Can you do the other two?

OpenStudy (jen543):

I have absolutely no idea how to do this, I completely forgot this

OpenStudy (jen543):

I'm guessing that the closest is D and greatest value is C?? @math&ing001 @FaiqRaees

OpenStudy (faiqraees):

Both wrong

OpenStudy (jen543):

hmmm what is it?

OpenStudy (math&ing001):

You can guess which one is closest to zero graphically. If the coefficient is zero the function is equivalent to the x-axis. So the closest to zero is the closest to the x-axis (here C).

OpenStudy (jen543):

Okay thanks that was my second guess! and is the greatest value A?

OpenStudy (math&ing001):

yep, correct

OpenStudy (jen543):

Thanks!!
