Help?? You are making poster board boundary markers in the shape of square pyramids for a relay race. If you are including a twelve -inch square as the bottom and you want the slant height to be fourteen inches, how much poster board do you need? Select one: A. two hundred fifty-two square inches B. four hundred twenty square inches C. four hundred eighty square inches D. five hundred thirty-two square inches

OpenStudy (dezandalf42714):

@Aaron96

OpenStudy (aaron96):

is 12 in. the length aroud the sides

OpenStudy (dezandalf42714):

|dw:1459969891829:dw|

OpenStudy (aaron96):

if that is so, then it would be 12x12 which would be 144. then 144x14 which would be 2016. 2016/3 would be 672in.3

OpenStudy (dezandalf42714):

which formula would that be??

OpenStudy (dezandalf42714):

that number is not a choice. A. two hundred fifty-two square inches B. four hundred twenty square inches C. four hundred eighty square inches D. five hundred thirty-two square inches

OpenStudy (aaron96):

use the formula SA = 2bs +b2

OpenStudy (dezandalf42714):

I got 480?

OpenStudy (aaron96):

for some what reason I was looking at a different formula. My bad. But the formula is for finding out the surface area of square pyramids.

OpenStudy (dezandalf42714):

Ok Thanks so much
