@K12awesomeness @MysticFury

OpenStudy (bobo-i-bo):

If I give a set of numbers, would you know how to find the mean of them?

OpenStudy (mysticfury):

@Bobo-i-bo i already explained how to find the mean to her twice :)

OpenStudy (truwhovian11):

im really slow ;-;

OpenStudy (mysticfury):

at solving it, or at learning? @truwhovian11

OpenStudy (truwhovian11):

both ;-;

OpenStudy (mysticfury):

okay well then do you want to walk through the problem together?

OpenStudy (truwhovian11):

please ;-;

OpenStudy (mysticfury):

okay, so first we need to find all of our numbers, the dots above the numbers show how mnay of that number we have. so for example if theres 5 dots above the number 51 that means there are five 51's to add to the problem. so we would do 51 + 51 + 51 + 51 +51 we would add it 5 times because there are 5 dots. so lets start doing that

OpenStudy (mysticfury):

theres 1 dot above 68 so 1 , 68 then 68 + 2 above 70 68 + 70 + 70

OpenStudy (mysticfury):

2 above 74 68 + 70 + 70 + 74 + 74 4 above 76 68 + 70 + 70+ 74 + 74 + 76 +76 + 76 + 76 so this isnt so long im going to add what weve got so far 660 is our total so far.

OpenStudy (mysticfury):

now we continue doing that for the rest of the numbers then add them up like i did above ^ do you think you can do that for me? take your time , im in no hurry :)

OpenStudy (truwhovian11):

i just read it 3 times over but i still dont get it

OpenStudy (mysticfury):

hmmm, thats okay, im just now sure how to explain it a different way lol, maybe someone else could explain it a little better? @Atsie @Awolflover1 @Mehek14 @rebeccaxhawaii @Mari1234 @zepdrix

OpenStudy (mysticfury):

not sure*

OpenStudy (bobo-i-bo):

@truwhovian11 If I gave you some numbers, do you know how to find the mean of those numbers? For example, if I give you the numbers 1, 2 and 5, would you know how to find the mean of the three numbers?
