Here's an easy tip that should help you with most; adverbs often end with 'ly'. Also they're just like adjectives except they don't describe nouns. They are directly related to the verb.

so adverbs usually; you can take them out of the sentence and it will still make sense. Ex)
The plane left early from Baltimore and landed in New York City. adv:early
The plane left from Baltimore and landed in New York City.

well what you could do is look for words that end in "ly" and the do a google search seeing if that word is an adverb... and for the second page I'll show you an example... playfully is the adverb and it's modifying scampered because its basically describing how it was done
