On the incomplete ray diagram for an object in front of a curved mirror, trace the path of Ray 1 as you would do to find the location and size of the image. F labels the focal point of the mirror. You do not have to trace additional rays for this question. http://i.imgur.com/b6B28Wx.png

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Hint : rays parallel to the central axis pass through the focus

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

refract downward ?

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

@ganeshie8

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

It is a mirror, so it only reflects and the rays don't go beyond its surface

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

but the reflected ray would "appear" as if it is coming from the focus

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

that is concave mirror you're given convex mirror

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

ohhhh ok so then this one is the completed picture for my problem http://images.tutorvista.com/content/reflection-light/convex-mirror-reflection-object-between-pole-infinity.jpeg

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Looks good!

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

alright thank you :)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

np :)
