All you have to do is hold alt while pushing 2, 4, and 6. Only on the numeric keyboard on the side. If you use a laptop.

try it in a word document sometimes it doesn't work on open study or on sticky notes

u can get lots of symbols using ALT and numbers just use deferent combinations ôσ╫í☻⌂├Ö÷¬

Make sure you click number lock (num lock) and be sure it shows it is locked.

the "Equation" box has buttons for ÷ . Press on it, you will see that the LaTeX $\LaTeX$ command for it is $$\LARGE\mbox{\div }\to \,\div$$. For other symbols, there's http://tug.ctan.org/info/symbols/comprehensive/symbols-a4.pdf .

On a Mac, it's        Option + :
