Well, one way you can go at this....look at what each of those terms mean....range, you take the largest number and subtract the smallest number from it. Try that first.

okay well we can cancel out the median, mode and range because those would be whole numbers not 8.3

the mode would be a whole number because its the number that appears most often in the set

the range would be a whole number because its the largest - the smallest

and the median would be putting the numbers in least to greatest order, and getting the middle one, which would also be a whole number so we are only left with one more choice
