Hi, I need some help. AB is a directed segment with endpoints A(2,2) and B(14,14). In two or more complete sentences, explain how you would verify that Point X, with a coordinate of (6,6), divides AB in a 1:2 ratio? Any help will be gratefully appreciated.

OpenStudy (anthonyym):

You need to find the distance between point A (2,2) and point X (6,6), then find the distance between point X (6,6) and point B (14,14). If XB is twice the distance of AX, then it's a 1:2 ratio.

Thank you so much. Lol. I had to answer it but that's close to what I got. :)
