Consider any conic section and discuss an application of the conic that you find most interesting. Include an example of a mathematical equation that models the application. Also, describe why you think this application is relevant and beneficial to society.

So conic sections are basically either: circles/ellipses or hyperbolas. I personally find the catenary which is in the shape of one of the conics I listed above quite cool (search it up!). Oh, and bubbles! Circles and ellipses come up all the time in Mechanics, Astrophysics, Physics in general, Engineering etc. Hope that helps spark some ideas :)
