Your 5 – 7 page research paper will be due, along with your regular assignment, during Lesson 28. The choice of subject matter is yours, as long as it is some aspect of biology covered in this course.

Please go to this link about How to Write a Research Paper and print it out and keep it close by! Follow the suggestions and guidelines you find there carefully as you write your paper.  Here is the timeline showing how you will be expected to progress through this project.

Lesson 23: 
- Initial research to choose a topic and familiarize yourself with the material 
- Final decision on a topic 
- Begin research on your topic

Lesson 24: 
- Begin developing an outline for your report 
- More research on your topic 

Lesson 25:
- Finalize your research
- Finalize your outline 

Lesson 26: 
- Write a first draft of your paper

Lesson 27: 
- Review and revise your first draft (you may want to ask a friend or family member to read and comment on your first draft)
- Begin to write the final draft 

Lesson 28: 
- Finish work on your final draft, and turn it in!
