ILovePuppiesLol (ilovepuppieslol):

do you think we should have something such as a "chat moderator" Or something, so like a responsible person that is online often who is not an actual "Moderator" but possess tools such as "kick from chat for however much time" "warnings" "deleting messages from chat" these chat patrollers should report back to the moderator that they were appointed by about any serious situations so the mod can take proper action, since there isn't always a mod online willing to look at reports, sometimes reporting a spammer or inappropriate person won't work, that is all I'm suggesting, and it should start with trusted people, like an ambassador or something

ILovePuppiesLol (ilovepuppieslol):

and with this, suggestion, maybe making all of the chats into 1 or 2 chats

ILovePuppiesLol (ilovepuppieslol):

instead of one for every single subject

ILovePuppiesLol (ilovepuppieslol):

so it'll be easier for the "chat moderators" to do their job

Atsie (atsie):

I actually like your idea. :) But who knows if it will be enforced by any means. @ILovePuppiesLol

ILovePuppiesLol (ilovepuppieslol):

@preetha what do u think about this?

MsBrains (ms-brains):

Great idea! it would make life simpler for many OS users.

ILovePuppiesLol (ilovepuppieslol):

And for our mods as well

OpenStudy (krispy):

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

I think we already have that in place. I believe the new Ambassador Generals can delete chats "I want to give the Generals the ability to delete chat content since this requires more immediate attention. " -@Compassionate

Hayhayz (hayhayz):

I like this idea but I don't like the idea of having less chats...

likeabossssssss (likeabossssssss):

that would be good @ILovePuppiesLol

ILovePuppiesLol (ilovepuppieslol):

But we should upgrade the tools more then just delete content @jagr2713

imqwerty (imqwerty):

well the users can report the person who does something wrong.. enough amount of reports can get the person banned.

OpenStudy (mahoganie.carson):

I think that's a good idea because some people use Open Study chat to talk to people in a gross way instead of talking to people in a nice way and another reason why they should do this is because a person ask where do you live and there might be a person one day giving there address to someone who might be crazy and they can end up in danger and i totally agree with @ILovePuppiesLol =)

OpenStudy (getonmylevel):

Very well said @jagr2713

umerlodhi (umerlodhi):

hello noob, welcome to openstudy you posted this in the wrong section

OpenStudy (mahoganie.carson):

Who posted what in the wrong section @umerlodhi =)

ILovePuppiesLol (ilovepuppieslol):

teamwork @imqwerty

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Great idea. Has been suggested a lot in the past. But I doubt they will actually implement it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I love the idea!

OpenStudy (green_1):

although moderators might not have full control over the site I do not see that it is necessary considering moderators have the power to delete comments/posts and control chats.

OpenStudy (green_1):

you have the option to report a chat post. so you can use that option if there is a post that you are not comfortable with or if it violates CoC.

ILovePuppiesLol (ilovepuppieslol):

the thing is theres not always a mod online @green_1 and if there is sometimes they don't wanna look into the report, there are also times when the reporting system was broken, where they didn't get reports

OpenStudy (green_1):

true. but adding chat mods may not help considering no one can donate a full time of being online and if the reporting system is broken you can still message a moderator. if a moderator does not review the report it may be that they are a little busy or has taken an action that they believe is suitable for the users actions.

ILovePuppiesLol (ilovepuppieslol):

nobody has to, we are just volunteers, u don't have to be full time online, they can select a group of them, for example they are all in different time zones, so at least one will be online

OpenStudy (green_1):

true. i guess it is a good idea. the problem is finding one who will take the time to look at the chats.

OpenStudy (boyitmatt):

Great Suggestion!

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

great feedback bb

OpenStudy (iluvsoccer):
