OpenStudy (hannahc234):

Can someone help me and show me step-by-step work on how to solve this I will fan and medal! Graph the function y=-x^2-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok so you would start by graphing a regular x^2 parabola Then because there is a "-2" you would shift that graph down 2 And that would be your answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Or you could just look at it like this Start with 0 and substitute that for x, you get y=-2 so the point would be (0,-2) Repeat with as many numbers as you want, for example if you substitute 1 for x you would get (1,-1)

OpenStudy (hannahc234):

I know how to do that but my teacher said I have to show how I get the vertex and the y intercept and stuff
