OpenStudy (mathmath333):

what is the next term of the sequence

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

|dw:1460393804581:dw|

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

i think it is none of these

OpenStudy (faiqraees):

245 i think

OpenStudy (faiqraees):

They are all the multiples of 7

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

but it isnt showing any pattern i think

OpenStudy (bobo-i-bo):

I cheated: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetrahedral_number :P

OpenStudy (bobo-i-bo):

(FaiqRaees is right)

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

how is it related to tetahadal ?

OpenStudy (faiqraees):

Multiply each tetrahedral number with 7

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

bibobo how did u find that tetahadal connection?

OpenStudy (bobo-i-bo):

As FaiqRaees said, each is a multiple of 7 so I divided it by 7 then searched up the sequence 1,4,10,20... hence the cheating :P

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

ok i got that , but how did u find that cuz when i google search the numbers i didnt find any tetahadal

OpenStudy (bobo-i-bo):

But on hindsight, noticing the sequence of the difference between the terms of the sequence 1,4,10,20... is 3,6,10... should be enough to notice that that sequence is the sequence of triangular numbers

OpenStudy (faiqraees):

search 1,4,10,20

OpenStudy (bobo-i-bo):
