Help please. THANKS :D If 100 people are carrying a 100kg weight together, is it correct to say that each person carries 1kg? (I'm trying to explain the process of glass breaking using an analogy)

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

yes

OpenStudy (wcrmelissa2001):

You sure it's like correct by the laws of physics? (i'm just really worried about this)

OpenStudy (error1603):

I would say my self If each is lifting from an equal distance from the center of gravity of the 100 kg mass, the answer is yes. However, if the distances are not equal, the person with the shortest distance to the center of gravity will lift more of the weight.

OpenStudy (error1603):

But than again I may be wrong

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

i think ur right

OpenStudy (error1603):

Great

OpenStudy (wcrmelissa2001):

YAY THANKS :D

OpenStudy (error1603):

No problem
