mc^2=hf (f=frequency). this equality is correct ?

OpenStudy (aliqanber):

E=hf is the energy of a photon, a light particle. E=mc^2 is the rest energy of an object of mass m. I can't figure out why you would equate them... Want to find the frequency of radiation of energy equal to the rest energy of some object?? Tell me what you're trying to do.

OpenStudy (faiqraees):

Yes equality is correct
