Can Some one please check my answers ?

1.)order the group of quadratic fractions from widest to narrowest graph. y=3x^2;y=5x^2;y=7x^2 a.)y=3x^2;y=5x^2;y=7x^2 b.)y=7x^2;y=5x^2;y=3x^2 c.)y=3x^2;y=7x^2;y=5x^2*** d.)y=2x^2;y=7x^2;y=3x^2 2.)the area of a play ground is 234yd^2. the width of the playground is 5 yard longer than its length, find the length and the width of the playground. a.)L=18 yards;W=13 yards b.)L=13 yards;W=18 yards** c.)L=18 yards;W=26 yards d.)L=26 yards;W=18 yards 3.)what is the value of c so that x^2+8x+c is a perfect square trinomial? a.)16 b.)34 c.)4*** d.)64 4.)what is the value of c so that x^2+17x+c is a perfect square trinomial? a.)17/2 b.)289 c.)289/4 d.)289/2

Pssst, Roast Battle Live in English Chat, be there or be square!

OpenStudy (bobo-i-bo):

wrong,right,wrong

OpenStudy (little.cherry23):

explain

OpenStudy (little.cherry23):

and for number 4 i got a

OpenStudy (bobo-i-bo):

Two is right because the width would be 5 more than the length and 13*18=234

OpenStudy (little.cherry23):

yes i know. what about the other three im having trouble with them

OpenStudy (bobo-i-bo):

I'm afraid your answer for the 4th one is also wrong

OpenStudy (little.cherry23):

im stuck between d or a for the last one so idk

OpenStudy (bobo-i-bo):

I'll help you out, give me a sec ^_^

OpenStudy (little.cherry23):

alright

OpenStudy (little.cherry23):

for the first one is it b ?

OpenStudy (bobo-i-bo):

Play around with the slider on the left and see if you can then understand how to do question a from it: https://www.desmos.com/calculator/seoestnwvc

OpenStudy (bobo-i-bo):

why do you think it's b?

OpenStudy (little.cherry23):

idk ;-;

OpenStudy (little.cherry23):

and that link has nothing to do with my questions..

OpenStudy (bobo-i-bo):

It does!

OpenStudy (bobo-i-bo):

So you see that when you move the slider, it changes the value of a? Well, a is the number multiplied by x^2. For example, if a=4, then the graph which is drawn is 4x^2. If a=7, then the graph which is drawn is 7x^2.

OpenStudy (little.cherry23):

so yet its b like i said

OpenStudy (bobo-i-bo):

Are you sure that 7x^2 is the widest graph?
