PLEASE HELP!! how many triangles can be drawn if two sides are 4 and 6 and a non included angle is 48 degrees? Consider both ways this can be drawn and answer both situations. Show all work leading to your conclusion.

OpenStudy (mathaphobia):

I am not sure what they are looking for or how to find it sorry.

OpenStudy (mathaphobia):

Is this for geometry?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's trig

OpenStudy (mathaphobia):

Oh ok.

OpenStudy (mathaphobia):

Is there a diagram with it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (mathaphobia):

So we know that we need to find how many times a triangle can be drawn using our given information right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

All i got was: "How many triangles can be drawn if two sides are 4 and 6 and a non included angle is 48 degrees? Consider both ways this can be drawn and answer both situations. Show all work leading to your conclusion."

OpenStudy (mathaphobia):

So we need to draw it in two ways.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (mathaphobia):

So we need to draw two triangles with the distances and the angle measure. When we do the angle measure we will put the 48 in one on top and the 48 in another on bottom.

OpenStudy (mathaphobia):

Sorry I was drawing and solving. Have you learned about the sine law?

OpenStudy (mathaphobia):

OpenStudy (mathaphobia):

OpenStudy (mathaphobia):

OpenStudy (mathaphobia):

OpenStudy (mathaphobia):

Since we got a value for x in the second one this is the only way we were able to draw it.

OpenStudy (mathaphobia):

I hope you understand what I did here please let me know when you come back.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you so much that was so helpful

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@mathmale can you help me understand how many triangles there are
