In the Salem witchcraft trials of 1692, Question 17 options: an extraordinarily rare event occurred; fewer than 40 people had previously been executed for witchcraft in Europe. almost 150 people, mostly women, were accused of witchcraft. luckily, no one was put to death for being a witch. after discerning "which witch was which," three witches were executed.
