I absolutely love openstudy. It has helped me through a lot of assignments this year. When I first started using Open Study, I was very happy with my results. I got accurate answers quickly. All the moderators were nice and helpful. However, after using Open Study for almost a year now, the 'service' has become poor. When you ask a question, you don't get an answer until a day later(at least!). Sometimes your questions aren't even answered. Also, some of the moderators are becoming very rude. Instead of helping you they try to put you down. One moderator, for example, even suspended me from the site just because I suggested to another user to get help from someone else other than that moderator. Another thing that is bothersome is that when someone is helping you, they move on to a different question and they leave you there still asking for help. It is like a "line" system on Open Study and I think that if you are helping someone first then finish helping them. As a result of all these factors, I have gotten a Peeranswer account. Even though the answers on that site are not always correct, you still get help 10 times faster that on Open Study. I am not the only one who has temporally moved to Peeranswer either. I have run into about 10 Open Study member that also have a Peeranswer account and they use it more frequently.

In conclusion, Open Study is a good site to use. It would be way better if the site itself actually lived up to the advertisements used to gain users on the site.

heres my feedback on your feedback. i love how detailed it is and you stated many great points. however i am guilty of leaving a question to help other person, this is simply because sometimes the user takes a very long time replying or i could be helping 2 people at once. 2 birds with one stone. sadly sometimes i get side tracked and forget about the other question. OS has grown so much and tons and tons of new members join every week. which is great but also has a down side like no getting as much help as you used to. but i try and help here and there however i can. all we can do is be patient and wait for help. but i do see your side on not getting the help we want. overall great feedback.

The main purpose of this site is to guide users to finding their answer. Answers are not allowed on this site, if you read the CoC. Maybe the mods were rude because you were asking for answers to the questions instead of help. PA has more distractions than this site. A social section, games, and chatting....OS has chatting though. So again, if you are looking for answers, this isn't the site to get them. Your answers wouldn't be so incorrect if you were guided to them through understanding.
