Any integer is a rational number. That may help

OpenStudy (phi):

anything minus itself is 0 and 0 is rational

OpenStudy (anitas.):

s there both yeses?

OpenStudy (phi):

yes. for the 2nd one we can write sqr(3) * sqr(12) as sqr(3*12) = sqr(3*2 * 3*2) we have two pairs: 2 and 3, so that becomes 2*3 = 6 or we could do sqr(3*12) = sqr(36) = 6 so you get 2 * sqr(3) * sqr(12) = 2* 6 =12 and 12 is rational

OpenStudy (anitas.):

Ok Thank you so much for explaining! ^.^
