OpenStudy (annie12m):

George earns $455 per week. George receives a 20% raise. How can George calculate his new weekly rate?

OpenStudy (annie12m):

455 100 --- = --- x 20 9100 = 100x /100 /100 91 = x 455 + 91 = $546

OpenStudy (annie12m):

To calculate his new weekly rate you need to figure out how much is 20% of $455 then add it to $455.

OpenStudy (annie12m):

i need to see if im right

OpenStudy (prince1342):

I believe you would turn 20% into 0.2

OpenStudy (prince1342):

Then multiply that by 400

OpenStudy (anonymous):

20% you would turn it into 0.2 then multiply buy 400 which you get 91, so add 91 to 455, Boom! =D

OpenStudy (annie12m):

or u could just do my way..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry, i was just trying to help...

OpenStudy (prince1342):

Pugs way is a little less complicated, I would stick with that if i were you. Quicker and more efficient
