What is the issue?
Answer: Pollutants are being introduced from urban, industrial, and agricultural sources and from the harbor's tributaries, especially the Peace and Myakka Rivers.
How is it an ecological issue?
Answer: Because it discharges nitrogen and algae-laden water into the Charlotte Harbor
How does it relate to conservation?
Answer: It can kill the fishes, because of the low oxygen levels produced by the growth of algae.
Why is it a problem in your area?
Answer: Because it can reduce the amount of food people get daily from fishes.
How is the government involved in this issue?
Answer: The local government should bring more awareness to the local urban, agricultural and industrial sources.
What can citizens do to help?
Answer: They should follow the instructions from the local government, once they find the best way to improve this matter.
