OpenStudy (jenlee):

Can anyone help with this one question please? How might ocean currents have differed during the time of Pangaea compared to today? Explain your answer.

OpenStudy (tennis5518):

https://prezi.com/sawwcw-ow63t/503-continuing-with-currents/ This is a slide show it helps! When Pangaea was present, there one one large landmass, as opposed to the spread of land masses/continents we have today and the complex belts of ocean currents would not have been present then. Prior to the breakup of Pangea, one enormous ocean, Panthalassa, existed on Earth. Currents in this ocean would have been simple and slow. Some more information!
