5. Pizza Paradise delivers pizza in the local neighborhood using bicycles. The bike delivery person, Tommy, uses a bike whose wheels have a radius of 13 in. Tommy’s average biking speed is 15 mph. How many minutes would it take for Tommy to deliver a pizza to a house that is 4 mi away, and how many revolutions of his bike wheels would this take? (A revolution is one full wheel turn.) Use 3.14 to approximate pi. Round to the nearest whole number. (Note: 1 mi = 63,360 in.) Show all your work.

First, the easy part is the time. If he can do 15 mph and is going 4 m, he is going 4/15 of an hour, or 16 minutes. Then, you can figure out the revolutions. The circumference is 26*3.14. 63,360*4/circumference will give the total revolutions. That equals about 3,104 revolutions.
