OpenStudy (alienboy):

how do you find the area of a rectangle when you're only given 3 points?? (by points i mean x,y not sides)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Use the coordinates and the distance formula to find the lengths of the sides. You may have to check to make sure which points make perpendicular segments.

OpenStudy (alienboy):

ohh okay, thank you so much!!! @peachpi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you're welcome. is that all the help you need?

OpenStudy (alienboy):

yeah, i've been trying to look at tutorials online on how to find the area that way, but i've had no luck, and since i'm using plato, the tutorials before the tests do not help at all @peachpi
