Using the ratio of perfect squares method, what is square root of 53 rounded to the nearest hundredth?
Where is this method explained? I never heard of it.

I can only think of... name the two perfect squares that 53 is in between for example 29 is between the perfect squares of 25 and 36

53 is between the perfect squares of 49 and 64 right? square root of 49 is 7 square root of 64 is 8 so the square root of 53 is a number between 7 and 8
does that make more sense?
