You can use distance formula to solve this which is \[\sqrt{(x_1-x_2)^2+(y_1-y_2)^2}\]
So just plug in your numbers and solve

Yes that is a good thing to watch out for make sure you take the sub1 points from the same point and the sub2 points from the same point
