Customers of a phone company can choose between two service plans for long distance calls. The first plan has a $29 monthly fee and charges an additional $0.12 for each minute of calls. The second plan has a $24 monthly fee and charges an additional $0.17 for each minute of calls. For how many minutes of calls will the costs of the two plans be equal?

What do you think?

i have no idea how to even do it i am the worst at word problems

OpenStudy (ssddss02):

Ok how many minutes of calls would it take for both to be the same price

OpenStudy (ssddss02):

so what you would do is add$0.17 plus itself until it equals $5.12 so it would be equal with the first plan.
