OpenStudy (makuza123):

please help! If F(x) = x - 5 and G(x) = x2, what is G(F(x))?

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

Lets say G(x) = x + 12 and you were looking for G(9). That means everywhere in the function G(X) you saw an x, you would put a 9, right. This works the same way, everywhere you see an X in G(X), you plug in the F(X) function

OpenStudy (makuza123):

so, what's the answer? A. (x - 5)2 B. x2(x - 5) C. x2 - 5 D. x2 + x - 5
