Find the following measure for this figure. Figure below Will medal, no direct answers. Apothem = 4 units 4√2 units 4√3 units

OpenStudy (prince1342):

We can see that each side of this hectagon are 8inches of eachother

OpenStudy (prince1342):

Yet the measure of what we are trying to find, only goes by half way. So we take half of 8, 4

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

So the Apothem would be 4?

OpenStudy (prince1342):

No but we can use 4 to plug in the formula! \[apothem = s 2  \tan  180 n \] S=4 while n=2 so plug this in and calculate

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

okay. 8*2 tan 180*2 16 tan 360. I forget, what do I do with "Tan".

OpenStudy (prince1342):

Do you know how to enter Tan on a calculator? Try using a scientific one online

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

Okay, I just searched some stuff up..I plugged the values in but I keep getting -54.0822
