Will FAN and MEDAL best answer Find all polar coordinates of point P where P = ordered pair 5 comma pi divided by 3.
These are my answer choices (7, pi/3 + 2nπ) or (-7, pi/3 + 2nπ) (7, pi/3 + 2nπ) or (-7, pi/3 + (2n + 1)π)
The choices don't make sense... If a point (x,y) has a distance of 5 units from the origin. It cannot also have a distance of 7 units from the origin.
If you meant find all polar coordinates equivalent to (7,pi/3) then I would have said something differently.
Do you know how to plot (-7,4pi/3)? Can you tell me this points location? Also can you tell me where (7,pi/3) is? Then also for fun graph (-7,pi/3).
All I did here was replace n with 0 in the or part of both of your choices... We are going to see which point is equivalent to (7,pi/3) (-7,4pi/3) or (-7,pi/3)?
