(i guess you mean child admissions tickets ?)lets say child tickets = x adult tickets = y First, write the cost equation $5.30 for child tickets so 5.30x and $8.40 for adult -> 8.40y and *tickets were sold for the total sales of $1186.10* \[5.30x+8.40y=1186.10\] first equation 2nd equation will represent the number of tickets were sold x+y=177 that is the 2nd equation. now its up to you..how you gonna solve for x ? substitution ? elimination?(which is not the best for this question ) or graphing
