Hey you there with that frown,
Turn that upside down.
This poem is written for you,
Yes, this is true.
Bring back that beautiful smile,
Something that was hidden for awhile,
Bring back that adorable laugh,
Let it out fully, not half.
Don't let those other people get you down,
They're all acting like clowns.
Be that genuinely true
Happy you.
Your eyes are the windows to your pain,
And you feel nothing but shame.
But here, I tell you, that shame is a lie.
And I know you want to cry.
I know you feel like it is impossible to score,
But you will feel love once more.
You are beautiful, precious, uniquely you.
I tell you all this because it is very true.
