RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

b?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

periodic means that it repeats after a set interval

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

here's an example http://teamapproach.ca/math/images/periodic.jpg

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

I would graph each using desmos https://www.desmos.com/calculator

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

and they would go up or down continuosly?

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

@jim_thompson5910 is it 2x+5 then?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

the 2x+5 graph is a straight line (blue line) the green curve is the one that repeats over and over. It goes up and down in a predictable pattern so the cosine graph is the periodic graph

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

so this is c?

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

scractch that next question lol

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

when I mean "repeat" I mean the y values repeat themselves eg: when x = 0, y = cos(x) = 1. Then when x = 2pi, y = cos(x) = 1. The y value repeats itself every 2pi units
